Least Favourite Men’s Player asked by sebsbulgeandarse.
Before I go off explaining, I’d like to point out that this is a response to the question that asks me about a player I don’t like best, not someone I hate.
I’m still extremely confused about Roger Federer. He was the first player I was interested in when I started playing tennis. It’s inevitable, I think. After all, he is one of the greatest. Probably almost everyone has a Roger phase. I enjoyed watching his game, still do, and I’m in awe of his abilities. But once I started rooting for Novak, soon after I got out of that phase, I saw that the Roger Federer playing against him was not the Roger Federer I admired. He was so tense in a way he never was when facing any other player on tour. I started to grow cold towards him in time. His statements after the US Open semi-finals only sped the process.
