Does anyone have the link to Seb’s full team radio yesterday?

None of the videos around actually features Rocky’s crazy little message and Seb trying to reply to him while sobbing. It’s disappeared. I only saw it on the Portuguese stream.

Sebastian Vettel wins DHL Fastest Lap Award.

I’m sitting at home, completely useless to the world, wearing my Sebastian Vettel WDC 2011 t-shirt and wrapping myself in my Red Bull Racing blanket. I have been brainstorming for 3 days now. What else is left that I haven’t done in order to spread the message to the universe?

#3.

Back-to-back.

Youngest.

I have lost my appetite, I have had a hard time sleeping, concentrating on my studies. This final race has consumed me and made me dysfunctional. Looking at myself, I can’t help but think of you, Sebastian. What are you feeling? Here we are, whining about how hard our jobs are as fans, yelling we ‘can’t even’, saying we are not ready. But how challenging is our so-called profession compared to yours? I cannot imagine.

You have been so brave, Seb. You have done your job brilliantly. At such a young age, you have achieved so much more than many have ever dreamt of. You are taking confident steps on your way to becoming a complete driver. Whatever virtues you lack right now, are things you are most likely to learn. Your supporters don’t root for you solely based on your speed or your looks, but for your ability to learn fast and for your intellect. You comprehend what is going on around you, and I think that is the most important quality for a driver to possess. This is not only a game of raw speed, but also a game of minds.

You received a lot of critique during 2012; many implied that you weren’t actually very mature when you weren’t winning. It was said that 2011 did not reflect what kind of a driver and person you really were. According to them, you had regressed back to that ‘hotheaded child’ you were in 2010. Frankly, I see that every race teaches you something. Those who rely on your impatience and short-temper, I believe, are stuck in the past. Your actual test is today. Whatever the outcome may be, you will end this season becoming a much more experienced driver. Either you will learn to be graceful in defeat or humble, as you have always been, in another victory.

I hope that for a moment you remember the people, the fans you have met all around the world, the ones who have showed you their support. Remember that they are- we are- somewhere out there, believing in you. We’re all on this journey together and we don’t regret it one bit.

Keep your spirits up, Champion.
